To mark the 40th Anniversary of the Vienna Chapter, an extensive exhibition was put together by 15 members in historical vaults on the premises of the company Tostmann Trachten in June 2025.
The exhibition was opened by the Head of the Japanese Culture Center, Ms. Aki Sugaya and by Ms. Elisabeth Streubel, the president, who emphasized the theme of the exhibition of Austrian and Japanese textile-arts in combination with classical and modern Ikebana arrangements.
The exhibits ranged from traditional compositions to very large modern works. Guided tours were offered explaining the different arrangements from the schools Ichiyo, Ikenobo and Sogetsu. To everyone’s delight, the chosen venue proved to be ideal and brought visitors, who previously had no connection with Ikebana.
